In addition to the sustainability benefits, we also take an ethical stance by not promoting new production. We oppose the use of new fur production and aim to avoid harm to animals. There are countless stunning fur coats in the world that, with careful restoration, can be given a second life and continue to be cherished for many more years. Each fur coat undergoes a careful refurbishing process done entirely by hand, which may include cleaning, re-lining, repairing, and finishing. Different types of fur offer unique textures, appearances, and qualities.

• Fox Fur: Fox fur is known for its luxurious, full-bodied texture with long, soft guard hairs. It is voluminous and fluffy. It is thick and provides excellent insulation, making it ideal for colder climates. Its unique texture makes it a high-end fur choice.
• Rabbit Fur: Rabbit fur is much softer and lighter compared to other furs. It has a velvety, smooth texture that feels incredibly soft to the touch. While it is not as durable as fox or raccoon fur, rabbit fur is still highly valued for its comfort and lighter appearance.
• Raccoon Fur: Raccoon fur is thick, coarse, and durable, with a distinctive wild look. The fur typically features a mix of colours, ranging from grey and brown to black, giving it a rugged and natural appearance. Raccoon fur is resilient and holds its shape well.
• Mongolian Fur: Mongolian fur is recognised for its long, wavy, and curly texture. This type of fur is particularly soft and luxurious, often used in fashion-forward designs that demand attention. While Mongolian fur is striking in appearance, it requires special care to maintain its shape and texture, making it more delicate.
• Mink Fur: Mink fur is soft, smooth, and lightweight, with a rich, glossy sheen. It is one of the most sought-after types of fur due to its refined texture, durability and luxurious feel.

In our commitment to responsible practices, we source our pre-owned fur coats exclusively through auctions and reputable second-hand suppliers. We carefully select items that meet our standards for quality and sustainability, including SAGA fur that aligns with our mission to honour craftsmanship, minimise waste, and prevent further animal suffering.

The arm label features our logo and is included to help build recognition for our pre-owned fur coats. It is easily removable, as it is attached with just a few small stitches. If you prefer to remove the label, you can do so without damaging the coat. This label serves as part of our commitment to promoting sustainability and the value of pre-owned fur.

Yes, the Oriana Pillbox Hats are available in various colors and also fabrics.

We are a non-seasonal brand, committed to offering unique pieces throughout the year. During the winter months, we release new pre-owned fur coats approximately every two weeks, ensuring a continuous selection of carefully restored pieces. Outside of winter, drops will continue year-round, including new colors of the Oriana Pillbox Hat and other exclusive releases.

Due to the unique nature of pre-owned items, we cannot restock identical items. Nevertheless, some coats may share similar characteristics, and it is possible that an item with comparable details will feature in a future drop. Each item in our collection remains uniquely crafted, ensuring timeless individuality.

Our Oriana Pillbox hats are made to order, with limited stock availability. Upon placing your order, kindly allow 1-2 weeks for the atelier to handcraft your hat, tailored exclusively to you.

All our items are restored/refurbished and handmade with care in our atelier in the Netherlands. We focus on local craftsmanship and ethical production processes. The origin of the coats, or the location where each coat was sourced is detailed in the product description, for complete clarity.

Our wool felt materials used for the Oriana Pillbox hats are sourced in Czech Republic.

Our fur collection is crafted from carefully selected pre-owned materials, including genuine fur and wool. For the relining, we use a sustainable cotton satin fabric that is soft to the touch yet strong, designed to last for years with proper care. Yes, all prices include the restoration, cleaning, and relining processes, as well as the craftsmanship involved in transforming each item.

Orders are typically dispatched within 2-5 business days, unless otherwise communicated. If you place a pre-order for a coat, you are reserving an item that is still undergoing restoration. The restoration process takes approximately 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the item. You will receive updates as soon as your order is ready for shipment.

A pre-order for the Oriana Pillbox hat secures your item before it’s handcrafted just for you. Once your order is placed, it takes 1-2 weeks for the atelier to create your hat, as each one is made to order.

For the pre-owned fur coats, relying solely on the marked size can be misleading, as fit often varies across items. To ensure the perfect fit, each product page features detailed measurements and the marked size (e.g., 34–44 FR). We highly recommend checking these measurements against your own to confirm suitability.

To determine your size for the Oriana Pillbox hat, simply measure the circumference of your head where the hat will sit. For a more comfortable fit, use a soft measuring tape and ensure it’s snug but not tight. If you're between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for added comfort.

Please contact us in advance to discuss your preferences, the available options, and the additional cost for sourcing the lining.

Store your item in a cool, dry place in a breathable garment bag (avoid plastic), and protect it from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Never use artificial heat sources for drying, and avoid applying chemicals like perfume or hairspray directly onto the fur. For further care, consult a specialized fur center.

Always rely on a professional fur cleaner who has the expertise to handle and maintain fur correctly.

If your fur coat becomes wet, gently shake off excess water and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry naturally. Avoid artificial heat sources such as radiators, hairdryers, or direct sunlight, as these can damage the fur and lining. Once dry, lightly shake the coat to restore its shape and fluff the fur. For cases of heavy soaking, seek professional assistance immediately to prevent lasting damage.

The leather backing, or pelt, of a fur coat must retain its natural oils to stay soft and flexible. If it dries out too much, the leather can crack or tear. Proper humidity levels during storage and avoiding exposure to dry air are key to maintaining this balance. Furthermore, protect your coat from pests by using natural deterrents like cedar blocks or lavender sachets. As part of your purchase, we’ve included a lavender sachet that you can use during storage to help keep your coat fresh. The lavender sachet typically remains effective for 3 to 6 months, after which it can be refreshed or replaced for continued protection.
